I have noticed that when a SAHM is trying to make a WOHM feel guilty, she will do it by saying something like "My definition of a 'good parent' is one who is always there for the child" or "how can you be a parent if you're out working?"
I just snicker, because by that definition, Dad is just a big wallet and a BAD PARENT.
Posted by Whitney at April 5, 2003 04:12 PMso i guess i'm supposed to literally have my eyes on my child 24-7? i work at home as an apartment manager. i can make money AND be with my kid at the same time. it doesn't mean i'm not "there" for my kid. she can be right there with me when i'm on the phone, showing apartments, cleaning the laundry room, etc.
a SAHM has to pee at some point, right? eat? shower? so uh.. what's the freakin' difference? LOL
